With a view to giving an effective development to the Alert and Security Plan in Buildings that seeks the prevention of crime in horizontal property, the Secretary of Security of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sergio Berni, delivered 300 anti-panic devices to those in charge of buildings in the Buenos Aires neighborhoods of Caballito, Recoleta and Barrio Norte.
"Security is assumed collectively and in this sense those in charge of buildings are fundamental actors: they know the neighborhood, the movement of the block and can alert to the possible commission of an illicit act," said Secretary Berni in front of the group that participated in the delivery of the new device.
According to the official, in the coming days the third stage of the technological reinforcement and early warning program will be completed through the delivery of another 1500 georeferenced panic buttons.
The ceremony of delivery of the device was attended by Secretary Berni, the secretary general of the guild, Víctor Santamaría and the head of the Federal Police, Román Di Santo. The event was held at the headquarters and sports of the Single Union of Workers of Rental and Horizontal Buildings (Suterh) in the neighborhood of San Telmo.
Since the implementation of the "Alert and Security Plan in Buildings", implemented by the National Directorate for the Prevention of Crime and Violence in charge of Agustina Propato, 2,000 electronic devices were delivered, which are integrated into the new means of the communications system of the Security Forces.
