International. Security revenue solutions maker Boon Edam Inc. recently released an update to its BoonConnect software tool, which will allow you to remotely manage brand doors, and will also help troubleshoot, configure and access essential operational data of security access.
According to the company, thanks to this software, technicians will be able to remotely access a wide variety of door functions to solve problems with more agility and minimize equipment downtime. Similarly, the company announced that BoonConnect will be a standard feature of both the Tourlock high-security revolving door and the Circlelock high-security lock.
BoonConnect was first launched in 2013, at that time this system could be physically accessed with a strong password but only through a small touch screen installed on the external upright of the Tourlock high security rotating door. BoonConnect can now be accessed over a secure connection from any device that has a browser and an Internet connection, such as a PC, tablet, iPad, or smartphone.
To do the above, users only need to select the IP address of the door they want to access and log in to access up-to-date information about the door and perform diagnostics.
Among the data that facilities managers or maintenance technicians will be able to know when accessing the system, is the current status of the door, name of the product, location of the facilities, serial number and record of the last time the door system was accessed.
Additionally, they can display the total number of rotations or revenues carried out by users since the date of the last technical service, as well as the total number of access attempts of more than one user at a time or more than one user with a single authorization and the number of times the security sensors have been activated.
In addition, technicians can access the door control system and troubleshoot issues such as sensor performance, blade alignment, engine speed, braking speed, among others, without the need to remove parts as in the past.
