International. Acer has unveiled its new Chromebox for CXV2 meetings, a video conferencing solution that includes hardware, software and support, all in one box. With a start time of 8 seconds and support for up to 15 conference participants across multiple devices, this option is easy to set up and operate, with 24/7 technical support included.
In addition to an Intel Core i7 processor and an Intel HD graphics card that supports UltraHD resolution, the Acer Chromebook for CXV2 meetings is equipped with a high-quality camera, remote control and a microphone and speaker. The camera offers a Full HD resolution of 1080p (1920x1080) and features a Carl Zeiss lens with autofocus and automatic correction against low light.
The omnidirectional speaker and microphone provide broadband frequency response, and integrate a digital signal processor for greater voice clarity. It also has the functions of silence, end call and volume buttons. The RF wireless remote with QWERTY keyboard allows for easy operations and collaborations, while VESA support makes it possible for Chromebox to hide behind monitors to save space.
Based on the Chrome OS, Acer Chromebox for CXV2 meetings automatically updates every six weeks to ensure the latest software and security features are always installed. All the information that is stored in Chromebox is encrypted and protected with its 1.2 chip (Trusted Platform Module), which generates and securely saves cryptographic keys. Every time Chrome OS starts, it checks the integrity and validity of system files to make sure they haven't been tampered with.
In addition to high security, enterprise IT administrators can easily install and manage hundreds of thousands of Chrome devices with Chrome Device Management, significantly reducing support work and consequently reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO) for organizations.
