The result of this monitoring is reflected in these EPDs, documents based on internationally recognized standards (ISO 14025 and EN 15804) that collect truthful information (independently verified by the Institut Bauen und Umwelt) on the influence that these products have on the environment. The objective of this initiative is to help users make responsible purchasing decisions, to be able to evaluate the products they already have in use in addition to showing the ecological sensitivity of Tesa Assa Abloy.
This milestone coincides with the 75th anniversary of the company that, in this way, takes another step in its commitment to sustainability. Throughout its history, Tesa Assa Abloy has been reducing the environmental impact generated by its activity and has developed and implemented different strategies to minimize this impact throughout its value chain: manufacturing, innovation, obtaining resources, employee development, the distribution of its products / solutions and the relationship with its customers and suppliers.
Specifically, the SMARTair range of Tesa Assa Abloy makes it easier for its users to save on consumption compared to traditional wired access control systems. As a result, the influence on the environment of this wireless access control is less than that of one with cables, as well as its economic cost.
