International. Between 25 and 28 October, Siemens presented its latest innovations at Matelec, the International Exhibition of Solutions for the electrical and electronics industry. Among its novelties, it showed its Desigo TRA (Total Room Automation) solution, a technology that manages in an integrated way the disciplines of lighting, blinds, heating and air conditioning in a coordinated way, in an environment. This system, in addition to a perfect interaction between all disciplines, has other sophisticated functions that allow optimizing energy consumption within each room.
In addition, Desigo TRA is very flexible and allows individual adjustments according to the use of the building. Thanks to the environment controllers, an easy start-up is achieved and different functions are available such as: window contact, presence detection, free cooling or exchange output to combine air conditioning equipment, among others.
Siemens also has among its innovations an IP control center capable of visualizing different functionalities of a building on different devices. Through an intuitive user interface, such devices, such as PCs, smartphones or tablets, can be freely configured. This system is based on open protocols, in such a way that it allows the integration of the different equipment of the manufacturers belonging to the KNX Association.
The Siemens control center is able to create a complete and individual visualization with the help of a powerful graphic editor. The display and user interface can be configured independently. Similarly, there is an extensive library of user command and display elements available in six different pre-assembled styles. It also features a smart editor, which provides fast and efficient engineering design.
Siemens has universal light regulators with KNX technology, which can be used with many lamp loads; It comprises devices to control all the usual types of lamps, such as LEDs, incandescents, mains voltage halogens, fluorescents and low-voltage halogens with magnetic or electronic transformers.
The company will also show at Matelec its latest innovation in touch sensors, this time on glass. It is an innovative product range consisting of a high-quality sensor unit, together with a square glass cover, and which works with the same UP117 bus coupler (BTM). This sensor has a multitude of applications, covering both hotels and buildings and residences of great representativeness and functionality.
It stands out for its multiple benefits, such as its unique and high-quality design, with glass surface. They have an dimmable and multicolored RGB LED for each button, which can be used as an orientation light and is based on the uniform concept of the BTM module, and solutions through recessed actuators. In addition, it supports multi-mode communication (KNX S-Mode / PL Link) and is suitable for specific and customized projects, thanks to its surfaces of different materials, colors, icons, etc.
