The fourth establishment of the Riu Hotels & Resorts chain, Riu Montego Bay, was opened a few days ago on the Caribbean island. The new five-star hotel is the first hotel in Montego Bay, the country's main tourist destination and second largest city after the capital, Kingston. This hotel, located a little more than 2.5 kilometers from the city's international airport and operating under the all-inclusive regime, has 681 rooms and a beach in front of the hotel where guests can practice water sports, as well as tennis courts and a golf course.Likewise, the Riu Tropical Bay, RIU Hotels & Resorts' oldest hotel, will be renovated to be included in the Palace range, the most luxurious of the chain. After this restructuring project, the Riu Tropical Bay hotel will reopen its doors in December 2008 as Riu Palace Tropical Bay, becoming the first Riu Palace hotel in Jamaica.
