In order to have a brand that stands out for its luxury and location, the Marriott hotel chain has launched its Autograph Collection, a new brand of independent hotels that will allow its customers to enjoy distinctive environments and personalities in the most desired destinations in the world.The project plans to incorporate 25 establishments throughout 2010, although at the moment there are no details about the specific locations.
"Each hotel will be unique, with its own identity, appealing to a growing segment of customers looking for the experience that an independent hotel can offer them," said Don Semmler, executive vice president of brand management at Marriott International.
Autograph's offering will allow the group to attract customers who typically don't consider the brand concept, while allowing these hotels to exploit Marriott's global booking system.
