Peru's hotel industry is growing, attracting the attention of investors such as the Hilton Hotels & Resort chain, which announced that it will invest nearly $2 billion in the construction of 19 new hotels, opening the first in the first quarter of 2012.The hotel company agreed with the Peruvian real estate company JGJ Proyectistas to build the new hotels with projection by 2012, starting with the five-star Hilton Lima Miraflores resort, located in the city of Miraflores, which will have 230 rooms including a presidential suite, 10 meeting rooms, a business center and a ballroom for 450 people.
Dave Horton, global head of Hilton Hotels & Resorts explained that "this alliance will give rise to an exceptional property in the capital of Peru, which is key to our strong presence in South America."
