Peru and Argentina will be the first Latin American countries to have six- and seven-star hotels. Chains such as Revolutions, Marriott, Hilton, Acqua and Libertador are some of those that will drive this important advance for the region.
In this way, the Peruvian department of Cuzco will inaugurate in a few months a seven-star hotel belonging to the North American chain Revolutions. While Hilton and Marriott are preparing for this year the opening of their establishments, also in the same department.
In Argentina, meanwhile, Mexico's Vidanta group will be the first to secure a six-star hotel after the country's Tourism Ministry granted it the permit last May. Thus, the construction of the "Mansions of the world", which will be erected in Puerto Madero, will be completed in June 2013, as announced by the president of the group, Daniel Chávez.
According to the document issued by the country's tourism portfolio, "this luxurious accommodation will have a butler per floor, which will be responsible for meeting the needs of guests; a new concept of hospitality that has been characteristic only in regions such as the Middle East."
