With an investment of US$86 million, KCP, the firm based in the United States and Dubai, is already in the process of creating the project known as Obra Pía for the construction of a new hotel in the city of Cartagena, Colombia.
The project partner, Tom Herman, explained that Colombia is one of the countries in South America with the best growth expectations and in the near future will be one of the best markets for the global hotel industry.
"We have a lot to offer as a country , aspects such as culture, lifestyle and architecture, ecotourism, food and beaches. We are also 90 minutes from Miami from Cartagena, which attracts a lot for its proximity and ease of transportation, "said the project executive.
In Colombia, only 32% of establishments are 5-star and according to Tom Herman, true 5-star hotels do not exist in that country.
