The Grupo Posadas announces the opening of three new hotels in two of the fastest growing countries in the region: Mexico and Chile. The new facilities will increase the company's hotel capacity with 400 new rooms, reaching 20,000 throughout Latin America.
With its low-cost brand called One, grupo Posadas opened the One Culiacán in Sinaloa and the One Ciudad del Carmen in Campeche, reaching the 16 hotels of this line in Mexico; while in Chile it inaugurated the Caesar Business Puerto Montt in the Lakes Region, the tenth hotel of this group in South America.
The hotel group is committed to the One brand for the three-star segment, which have wi-fi internet access among other amenities. For its part, Puerto Montt has 142 rooms, high-speed internet and rooms for business and business events with capacity for 250 people.
The approximate value of the three projects was US$20 million and are in addition to the 92 hotels that the Mexican group has. This list is expected to include in 2014 a new Hotel One in the city of Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
