With the opening of five new establishments, the international marriott chain will reach 23 hotels in Mexico.
For the hotel group , the Aztec country represents 40% of the market in the region and is the one with the best projections for the coming years, both in growth and occupancy, said Manuel Ovies, vice president for Mexico and Latin America of Marriott.
The executive commented that for the organization expectations have improved with respect to what was experienced during 2008, when the economic crisis began and the conjuncture of the outbreak of influenza viruses was added.
The new hotels, which will have different categories, will be opened in Mexico City Toluca, León and Querétaro, which are the destinations where the greatest national demand occurs.
The first to be inaugurated is the Courtyard by Marriott Airport, in the Federal District, which had an investment of US $ 45 million and will focus on serving business visitors, with the enormous advantage of being connected to the air terminal.
The chain announced that in Santa Fe a JW Marriott will be opened, in September a Courtyard in the Mexican municipality of Toluca, in November one in León and at the end of the year in Querétaro.
