Universal Orlando announced that it will begin construction of a new hotel that will have 1,800 rooms in Florida (USA). The establishment plans to open its doors in 2014 and will be managed by the Loews chain.
This will be the company's fourth hotel and will have a classic and modern style, with dramatic, clean and simple design elements, bright colors and neon touches.
According to Tom Williams, president and CEO of Universal Parks & Resorts, this new property will offer guests an incredible lodging experience at affordable prices. "It will be completely different from what is available in Orlando," he said.
The hotel complex will be the largest of the four that the company owns, it will enjoy two themed swimming pools, 900 family suites equipped with kitchen and with capacity for six people each. Another 900 rooms will be simple, but equally surprising and comfortable, while retaining the thematic philosophy of vacation travel traditionally organized by Americans.
Williams said that the hotel will be aimed at a segment of the cheaper market and although they will also be able to access Universal's theme parks, they will not have preference in the entrance to the attractions, an advantage that is offered in the other establishments.
