City Hotels will have new properties in Colombia

Hoteles City tendrá nuevas propiedades en ColombiaNew land located in the Colombian cities of Bogotá and Cali was acquired by the firm Hoteles City in order to build establishments of its brand to be inaugurated in 2013 and 2014.

The firm has issued a statement in which it indicates that the initial investments of the projects total about US $ 50 million, with which it expects to add to its portfolio five new establishments in the South American country.

"We already have a piece of land acquired in Bogotá by Eldorado Avenue and we are looking at other cities in the interior, including Medellín, Barranquilla and Cartagena. But our first hotel will be in Cali. However, the expansion does not only stay in Colombia, we are also already starting in Chile. We already have several plots of land acquired and soon we will begin the formal search for spaces in Peru," explained the company's CEO, Luis Barrios.

It should be noted that Hoteles City has in its catalog a total of 67 hotels located in Mexico and continuing with its expansion project in other countries of the region, it expects to close 2012 with 73 properties.

Costa Rica has been one of the destinations chosen by the company to continue growing beyond the Mexican borders; in that Caribbean country the company will soon open the first establishment of its brand.ctubre, and then open in Cali.

As for the projects that will take place in Colombia, of the three brands that this chain has, in Cali it will end a City Express. In Bogotá he will have City Express, initially, and then City Junior.

"On the land we have in Bogotá we are going to build two towers for two of the brands and we continue to look in the financial area of the city," explained Javier Arce, Director of Development.
