Colombia. The hotels Las Américas (Cartagena), BS Kiü (Bogotá) and Blue Doors Celebrities Suites & Apartments (Bogotá) are the new additions to the portfolio of properties linked to the company Preferred Hotel Group.
This American company is dedicated to unionize under an independent brand to different hotel establishments, with the aim of accompanying them through the structuring of sales strategies of the group, corporate and leisure lines, integrating marketing solutions, revenue management and global connectivity.
Since January 2013 they have been present in Colombia supporting 12 independent hotels, including the three new additions, such as Barranquilla Plaza Summit Hotel, EK Hotel, Hotel Portón, Bogotá Plaza Summit Hotel, 93 Luxury Suites & Residence, Hotel Spiwak in Cali, Armería Real Luxury Hotel & Spa, Bantú Hotel Boutique and Hotel Caribe in Cartagena.
According to figures revealed by the company, with its accompaniment the member hotels in Colombia have achieved a growth of 40% in revenue from reservations from January to August 2014 compared to the same period in 2013.
"Due to our growth, hoteliers in Colombia are seeing the benefits that Preferred Hotel Group's business model can lead them to obtain, such as growth in profits; for that reason, they are actively looking for the possibility of joining our portfolio," explained Philipp Weghmann, Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean at Preferred Hotel Group.
"Looking to the future, one of our objectives is to increase the number of hotels we would represent in Colombia, in business cities and tourist destinations such as Cali, Cartagena, Medellín and Santa Marta," added the executive.
