Ecuador. Marriott Hotels announced plans to open a hotel in Guayaquil in 2016, with 202 rooms. This will be Marriott International's third hotel in Ecuador.
The hotel will be built by Hotecapsa, run by Ángel P. Sánchez, a prominent local developer from Guayaquil who built the famous Teatro Sánchez Aguilar and the Plaza Buena Vista and Plaza del Prado shopping centers.
Located in the heart of Los Arcos, Samborondón, the Marriott Guayaquil Hotel will be located in one of the most sought-after areas of the city within walking distance of guayaquil's best shopping, dining and entertainment centers.

In addition to the 202 rooms and suites, the hotel will feature a full-service restaurant with bar and lounge, a terrace bar, Concierge lounge, convenience store, business center, ample meeting space, and state-of-the-art facilities including a pool and fitness center.
Marriott International currently has a presence in Ecuador with the 257-room JW Marriott Quito hotel and the 135-room Courtyard by Marriott Guayaquil.
