Colombia. The development of five new properties in the country by the hotel operator Diplomat will result in an investment of close to $195 billion pesos. The new hotels will be located in Valle del Cauca, Bogotá, Santa Marta and Cartagena.
According to the local media La República, the first three cities will receive hotels of the AC de Marriot brand. The property in Valle del Cauca will have a close investment of $ 26,000 million and will have 129 rooms, while the project in Bogotá will have 90 rooms and will receive an investment of $ 18,000 million.
The most important work will be a six-star resort near Tayrona Park. For this project Diplomat expects to have 400 meters of beach and an investment of approximately $ 123,000 million.
"That hotel is a mega-project, which already has designs and will have an international brand that has not yet arrived in the country," explained Pablo Nieto, general manager of Diplomat Hotels.
