Peru. The Colombian company Metro Hotels, in charge of the management of the Holiday Inn and Hampton by Hilton brands in the coffee nation, announced that by 2016 it plans to enter the market of Peru and Chile with the opening of four Hampton by Hilton brand hotels in each country.
According to projections made by Metro Hotels prior to its foray into these two new markets, by 2016 the company could reach revenues of $60 million dollars. This is in contrast to the $45 million billed in 2015 and the $35 million generated in 2014.
In addition to the above, Metro Hotels will strengthen its expansion plans in the region with new properties also in Colombia. Soon the company will open a 100-room Hampton by Hilton in Yopal, as well as new hotels in Valledupar, Bogotá, Medellín and Bucaramanga that will open between 2015 and 2016.
