Mexico. The Staybridge Suites brand, belonging to the IHG hotel chain, will open its first property in the state of Chihuaha. For the opening of the new hotel, the chain will invest more than $11 million dollars. Additionally, the company plans to reach the Mexican market with four other properties in different locations.
The hotel, which will be owned and managed by the company Desarrollos Juventud S.A. de C.V., will be located near the General Roberto Fierro Villalobos International Airport, thus aiming to attract the public of business travelers.
Gerardo S. Murray, regional vice president of commercial distribution and marketing for IHG in Mexico, noted that "the sociable and homely atmosphere provided by the Staybridge Suites brand will offer a superior experience to these extended stay guests."
The hotel will have 100 one- and two-bedroom suites and two bathrooms. Complimentary amenities such as breakfast buffet, guest laundry room, fitness center, indoor pool, 24-hour business center, wireless high-speed internet in all areas, and outdoor living room with grill.
