Panama. Within the framework of TecnoEdificios & Seguridad 2018, an event aimed at Facility Managers of the Latin American region held in Panama, the Colombian Carlos Augusto Saavedra, general manager of the company ACEIS, was chosen as Facility Manager of the Year 2018.
Saavedra obtained 26.1% of the 58,623 votes consigned through the portal www.tecnoedificios.com, in the second place of the votes was the Panamanian Manuel Medina (Inversiones Bahia) with 24.6%, third was the also Panamanian Rene Patterson (London & Regional) with 19%, fourth was the Mexican Javier Lomelín (Colliers International) with 17.3%, the fifth place was for the Mexican Felipe Flores (Torre Mayor and Torre Diana) with 11.2% and in the sixth box finished argentina's Claudio Blum (Cushman & Wakefield) 2%.
It is worth noting that the finalists were invited (with all expenses paid) to participate in the TecnoEdificios & Seguridad Congress in Panama City, where they also had the opportunity, through an academic talk, to publicize their experience as Facility Manager and, at the same time, intervene in different networking activities within the framework of the event.
