Colombia. In an area of approximately 85,500 square meters, one of the largest and most important projects in the country is being built. America Business Center will be an imposing complex that brings together two towers for business and commercial services, a shopping center and a public square.
Estilo Ingeniería, a Colombian vertical transport company, will provide 122 pieces of equipment with the latest advances in technology. In this regard, Eng. Jorge Salamanca Commercial Advisor of Projects of the New Equipment line commented: "The equipment will have a capacity of 1,600 kilograms and 21 passengers for most of the main uses. The idea is to move as many people safely and with the best technology. This project is considered the most important in the country due to its location and the commercial reception it will have, as it is a complex for business services, commerce and a meeting point for mass transport such as the metro. It will be the largest in the city of Bogotá for the volume of vertical transport equipment, no project in the country has this number of elevators and escalators in a single set. "
Salamanca also explained that the equipment has an eco-efficient system which regenerates energy, that is, part of the energy consumed by the elevators, is returned to the building to be used in other areas of it as common areas, helping the energy efficiency of the project, which allows to achieve sustainable and intelligent buildings.
"It has been a challenge to work on one of the projects that will become a landmark of the city and business. Our experience has allowed us to apply the appropriate technological solutions for the facilities, it is a work that we will continue to do in the urban initiatives that require our support to provide mobility safely within the complexes, "said Eng. Jorge Salamanca. The project will have a new early call system which allows to group and manage 12 elevators at the same time which work with an intelligent control system that learns from the building constantly, this will be the first of its kind in Latin America.
