Grupo Eulen plans to add business lines to its operations in Peru

Peru. Grupo Eulen, of Spanish origin, celebrates 15 years in the Peruvian market, and is willing to continue growing by diversifying its business, according to its general manager, Rodrigo Yépez. The company specialized in services that other companies outsource began its operations in the country with the cleaning line, which today remains the most important – it concentrates 65% of its turnover – but has been adding others such as security or logistics.

"Our security offer is one of the biggest bets to continue growing, since it is one of the strongest lines in Spain. There it represents 40% of sales, while here it is 10%. However, our facility management area is also growing strongly, where the client entrusts us with the management of several services with a pre-established standard," he says. In fact, according to Yépez, facility management, which already represents 15% of its turnover, represents the future of its industry, since it is more efficient for a single manager to manage all areas not related to the core business of a company, from maintenance personnel to receptionists or drivers. For this year, the company projects a growth of 15% after having advanced 24% during 2016.

Yépez estimates that the local market for outsourced services is still far from maturity, so they see great potential to expand their offer and double the size of the company for the next five years. In 2018, they plan to include two or three new services of those already offered at their headquarters, such as telemarketing or placement of temporary workers, so that, within four years, the cleaning line does not concentrate more than 50% of its sales.

Similarly, their diversification strategy would allow them to generate synergies with the 7,500 workers they have in Peru. "One of our main strengths is the ability to recruit and manage personnel. Today we have three decentralized offices, and we are going to open two more this year. In addition, we have applied several improvements that have helped us reduce turnover by 50% so far in 2017, "says the executive.
