International. The European project SuperSmart launches a free training program in energy efficiency for supermarkets. This initiative involves the CIRCE research centre together with eight partners from several countries, with the aim of improving the energy efficiency of small food retailers and supporting the introduction of a European Ecolabel in order to reduce their environmental impact.
Announcement of the training program on energy efficiency in the supermarket sector, organized by the CIRCE Foundation and the European project SuperSmart.
The training program is funded through the Horizon2020 program and has the support of the Association of Spanish Supermarket Chains.
The training is specially designed for food retailers, supermarket chains, system and component suppliers, contracting and consulting companies, industry associations and consumer organisations.
The course consists of seven modules:
- Mapping and segmentation of barriers and description of the supermarket sector.
- Sustainable supermarkets: an overview.
- How to build a new sustainable supermarket.
- Computer tools for supermarket planning.
- Sustainable operation and maintenance of supermarkets.
- European Ecolabel for retail food stores.
- Online and face-to-face training
- The duration and schedules of the training program were adapted to the specific needs of the interested parties, so they can take the courses online or at a place of their choice.
In the same way, CIRCE could also do so, sending the materials for free, completely or in modules, to companies that wish to do so so that they can share them with their workers. If you are interested in the training program, you can contact CIRCE in [email protected].
