International. The insurance company Zurich Group has created the "Zurich Innovation World Championship", a world championship to collaborate with entrepreneurial companies in the insurtech space to transform the insurance industry.
In this first edition, it has focused on start-ups focused on products or services related to the insurance sector that move within the field of smart buildings, homes, mobility, digital health and financial planning. The winners of this competition will have the opportunity to carry out their projects to apply their solutions with the implementation of a pilot program for the company's customers.
Companies from more than 20 countries around the world will be able to participate in this competition. Applications can be submitted until September 30, through its website.
The "Zurich Innovation World Championship" will have three phases. The first round will be national, with selected companies moving on to the second regional round . Winners from North America, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East, and Asia Pacific will compete to be one of three winners: gold, silver and bronze; in the final that will take place in February 2019.
