Colombia. 17 Investors of Real Estate Projects Certified in Integral Sustainability with the Successful Leed System will receive a distinction during CONSTRUVERDE 2018.
In Colombia there are 143 leED certified projects (15 at the Platinum level, 69 Gold, 39 Silver and 20 Certified), which total +2.2 million square meters, and another 220 in the process of being certified, representing 3.9 million square meters.
The CCCS certification system "CASA Colombia" has one certified project, three in the process of certification and more than 17 developers have expressed their interest in achieving this certification.
During the ninth version of CONSTRUVERDE Colombia 2018 International Forum & Expo on Sustainable Design and Construction, an event organized by the Colombian Council for Sustainable Construction (CCCS - https://www.cccs.org.co), the ceremony of distinctions will be held for projects that have recently achieved LEED certification.
On this occasion, the Director of Arc Skoru and director at the U.S Green Building Council, Gautami Palanki and Cristina Gamboa, Executive Director of the Colombian Council for Sustainable Construction (CCCS), will present representatives of different companies with the recognition of these high-performance real estate developments. These projects continue to transform the sector to contribute to the green growth agenda, the reduction of its environmental impact and materialize its contribution to the goals of the Paris Agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve the quality of urban life.
Some real estate projects achieved the highest distinction by obtaining the certification at the Platinum Level, as is the case of the Element T1, T2, T3 and T4 project of Prabyc Ingenieros (http://www.prabyc.com.co/), a service company in engineering, architecture and urbanism which designed Elemento from an architectural concept towards sustainability and thinking of becoming a milestone for the country.
The pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson also managed to certify its LEED Platinum office in Bogotá, advised by Arquitectura e Interiores (AEI), a member company of the CCCS.
In the same way, the Multiplaza Bogotá project of the Roble Group of Colombia, which was built by Constructora Conconcreto S.A. (Member of the CCCS) reached the highest level of LEED certification for its focus on sustainable core and envelope.
Other winners will be projects of important firms such as APIROS, Almacenes Éxito SA, Inmobiliaria La Colina Arauco, Grupo Bimbo, Falabella and Servicios Nutresa SAS, who have developed projects with high sustainability standards and certified with the LEED tool and who are part of a sustainable real estate market of an important size and dynamics. To date, it has 6.1 million square meters of sustainable projects.
