Mexico. The CEO of City Express Hotels opened two hotels in the Mexican Caribbean: City Express Suites and City Express Plus Cancun Airport, now operates seven properties in the state of Quintana Roo with 717 rooms.
The event was chaired by state and municipal authorities, who highlighted the importance of increasing the hotel infrastructure in the region, as it is a highly competitive destination due to the flow of national and international tourists who arrive every year.
"Hoteles City Express is the chain with the greatest geographical coverage in Mexico, with these hotels that we inaugurate today we strengthen our presence in Quintana Roo. The growth of Hoteles City Express, without a doubt, is due to the preference of our customers," said Luis Barrios, CEO of Hoteles City Express.
City Express Suites and City Express Plus Cancun Airport, enjoy an excellent location, 10 minutes from Cancun International Airport and offer international quality services in state-of-the-art facilities. City Express Suites Cancun Airport has 63 loft rooms, designed for long stays: "They are apartments with hotel service that guests on long trips enjoy for being warm and private spaces," said the executive.
City Express Plus Cancun Airport has 120 rooms. Each space of the hotel was designed with a combination of colors and elements that achieve an atmosphere that leaves demanding travelers pleasantly surprised.
To support these efforts, the chain seeks to support its practices through LEED certifications, granted by the Green Buildings Council of the United States (USGBC), EDGE certification (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) and Biosphere Responsible Tourism certification, a certification developed by the Institute of Responsible Tourism (ITR) and endorsed by UNESCO.
