With this victory, RTA has become the first government entity to obtain this certification in this field.
Obtaining this certificate meets the requirements of the first international facilities management standard, as RTA adopts a multi-task facilities management system that deals with coordination between buildings, people and infrastructure, in addition to energy, water and sewerage services, according to the statement. of RTA.
It seeks to ensure that these overlapping services run in harmony. He stated that it is a demanding task that requires highly skilled management and contributes to extending the prescribed lifecycle of assets.
Mattar Al Tayer, RTA's CEO and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors, said the ISO certification victory reflects RTA's compliance with international asset management and sustainability standards.
Such certification would contribute to the achievement of RTA's eighth strategic objective (Asset Sustainability) by preserving and maximizing the value of assets, al-Tayer stated, while accepting the certificate from Yousif AlReda, CEO of the Corporate Administrative Support Sector.
The event was also attended by Abdul Rahman Al Janahi, Director of Construction and Facilities Management, along with several specialists in the field of facilities management at RTA.
The underlying goal of meeting this standard is to lay the groundwork for leveraging the efficiency of deliverables from facility management processes, taking into account end-user requirements in line with risk response strategies, Al Tayer said.
