Call centers or contact centers have become the standard bearers of outsourcing companies. According to the Argentine Chamber of Contact Centers, in that country this type of business directly employs about 54,000 people, of which 80% live in the interior of the country.
As indicated by this entity, the biggest beneficiaries of this model are inexperienced professionals, students and women heads of household. Similarly, regions away from large cities, where the possibility of employment is diminished, have also been favored by this type of companies that offer the possibility of operating in a delocalized way.
The pioneer in establishing this type of companies was the province of Córdoba, which has been followed by the provinces of northern Argentina that are interested in attracting this type of investment.
The governments of the provinces of Tucumán, Chaco, Salta and Catamarca have achieved their mission, offering entrepreneurs in the sector benefits higher than those they previously received in Córdoba, thanks to Law 9,232 (recently extended for 10 years, through Provincial Decree No. 689/2012).
The outsourcing of services of all kinds is a trend in the region, the figures promise to rise in this segment, hence the need to orient towards the specialization of the business.
