Since the beginning of March 2010, Juan Ramón Acosta Ángel has served as executive director of the Hotel Association of Colombia, Antioquia-Chocó chapter.In this new position, Acosta, who is an administrator of tourism and hotel companies, and a specialist in Strategic Management, will have as objectives the attention of the expectations of current affiliates in terms of services and benefits; strengthen the guild at the level of Antioquia – Chocó; carry out campaigns to promote the destination Antioquia – Chocó; seek certification from the Chapter; and to promote at the level of Antioquia and the National level the tourist destinations of the regions where the hotels affiliated to Cotelco have headquarters.
At the Annual Ordinary Meeting of the Antioquia – Chocó chapter, the new board of directors for the period 2010 – 2011 was appointed, which is chaired by Alexander Tony Ruiz Rivas, manager of the Intercontinental Hotel in Medellín.
