The list published by National Geographic's Traveller magazine highlights the best South American hotels that combine superior quality with sustainability. In total the publication named 80 establishments.
For the classification they took into account three categories: hotels in the city, on the outskirts of the city and in the jungle, highlighting in Argentina the 1555 Malabia House; in Brazil the Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge, Río Negro, Amazonas, and in Colombia the Delirio Hotel in Cartagena.
In Chile, meanwhile, the ranking exalts the Alto Atacama Desert Lodge hotel; while in Uruguay the most outstanding was El Diablo Tranquilo, from Punta del Diablo. In Peru, the Traveller list was headed by the Casa Andina Arequipa hotel.
