A new type of room whose main attraction is the absorption of noise from snoring became one of the main attractions for the Crowne Plaza hotel chain in Europe, according to the company.
The room is equipped with soundproof walls that absorb low frequencies, a bed headboard that reduces sounds, a cushion that prevents sleeping on your back, a pillow that creates a magnetic field to favor the opening of the airways and a white sound machine to reduce the noise of murmur.
According to the company, the project was born after a study was published according to which 70.9% of people have a partner who snores and of them, 56.5% suffer from alterations in their sleep cycle due to these annoying noises.
The pilot phase of the project was successfully carried out in mid-2011 and, as reported by the chain to HOTEL MANAGEMENT, there are still no plans to extend the anti-snoring modality to other establishments.
"The room that absorbs snoring was a summer campaign in eight hotels across Europe. There are no plans for its application in any Crowne Plaza hotel in the world," the company said through its communications office.
He added that, however, around the world they offer the Sleep Advantage program that seeks to give guests a good night's sleep: "this experience offers premium bedding, aromatherapy, wake-up service and floors with guaranteed silence for customers to wake up charged with energy."
