According to the American magazine Travel & Leisure, the Explora Rapa Nui hotel in Chile ranks as one of the top 10 hotels in the world. The prestigious travel magazine made in January a list with the best 500 hotels in the world to visit during the year that begins, in this version, a Chilean hotel was ranked as the best in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The choice made by the readers of the media, voting for their favorite places according to strict evaluation criteria, resulted in the Explora Rapa Nui hotel on Easter Island reaching 95.47 points, out of a total of 100, also positioning itself in sixth place worldwide.
This hotel, also known as Mike Rapu's La Posada, has 30 rooms overlooking the Pacific Ocean and was the first in Latin America to obtain LEED certification for environmental leadership for its design, construction and operation standards.
