"According to estimates we expected more than 5,000 visitors during Easter, which would represent revenues of $ 230 million, but we are sure that visitors and tourists understand this situation," said the official.
Both the mayor of Manizales, Jorge Eduardo Rojas, and the directors of the Colombian Hotel Association, Cotelco, issued a statement inviting not to rule out the city as a tourist destination.
Rojas explained that after the situation in the area you can enjoy other attractions and destinations such as the Los Yarumos Ecopark, the Alcázares Ecopark, the hot springs, the aerial cable, the Polish corridor and the Monument to the Colonizers that make the city offer more interesting and complete.
