The hotel firm Accor has reformulated its commercial offer, now considers that being able to offer accessible proposals has more priority than the luxury offer of five-star establishments.
According to Eduardo Rodríguez Suárez, the Group's development manager in Argentina, the hotel business goes through proposals of economic category that offer the best value for money, "and we believe that in Argentina it is a niche with great growth potential".
This hotel chain arrived in the South American country in the 90s focusing on luxury hotels with the Sofitel brand, currently has seven establishments throughout the country and three projects under construction.
One of the most developed brands in that country is the Ibis, aimed at the aforementioned middle class, three of its hotels belong to that brand. It is expected that in the first half of 2013 there will be the opening of a hotel of this brand in the city of Pilar, which will have an investment of US $ 8 million and will be aimed at the corporate segment on weekdays, and the tourist segment during the weekends.
Likewise, the group plans to open another establishment of this brand in Buenos Aires by 2014 and in this way strengthen its offer for the middle class in Argentina.
