More than 46% of the rooms of Spanish hotels are empty every night, as revealed by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), which means that establishments in the Iberian country stop receiving 40 million euros per night.
These figures show that more than 650,000 rooms are vacated every day and, in conclusion, the State stops entering around four million euros a day because of the uncollected VAT, about 1,500 million euros per year.
With the aim of offering a solution to the offer that is surplus in some way in Spain, an application was developed to operate on Smartphone called Hot.es, which allows establishments to exit, at a reduced price, to those rooms that they have unoccupied.
According to the head of communication of Hot.es, Adelaida Muriel, explained that "with the current crisis, neither hotels nor the State can afford to stop entering that large amount of money a day, therefore, we believe that applications such as Hot.es are very necessary, both for users and hoteliers."
Like this one, there are other marketing tools that have been launched in other destinations with very good results.
