Mexico. Within the framework of the planning process for the construction of the New International Airport of Mexico City, 35 calls for tenders for contractors in different aspects of the works, such as ground services, hydraulic works and roads, will be published this year. This was announced by the general director of the Airport Group of Mexico City, Manuel Ángel Núñez.
"We do not know who will participate, until the terms of reference for the tenders are established and in those terms of reference we will be very demanding," Núñez said.
The director of the Airport Group also recalled that phase one of the construction of the new airport terminal aims to deliver a facility with capacity to accommodate up to 120 million passengers.
For her part, the Undersecretary of Transportation of Mexico, Yuriria Mascott Pérez, stressed that the administration has implemented transparency measures in the contracting and execution processes of all its projects. Mexico City Airport will not be the exception, so companies interested in offering their services will be able to freely present themselves to the different bidding processes.
