Colombia. About $60 billion pesos, OR $30 million, will be invested in the construction of two new commercial complexes by Cumbria Constructora. These projects would be carried out in La Cota and Mosquera, two towns near the capital Bogotá, as a greater demand was detected in these expansion areas for housing and commercial projects.
Ricardo Wills, general manager of Cumbria Holdings, the business group that owns Cumbria Constructora, explained that these developments arise from the experience that the company has had in the construction of warehouses in that area of the country, and that they have resulted in an increase in the demand for housing and commerce.
As he explained, in the town of Cota a commercial development is planned in addition to a residential project of 36,000 square meters, with an investment of 45,000 million pesos (US $ 23 million). While in the municipality of Mosquera, the company plans to build a shopping center with an investment of 15,000 million pesos (US $ 7.5 million).
