International. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has selected real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield as the manager of its bus terminal, located in the heart of Times Square. Under this contract, C&W will be responsible for handling lease applications for commercial premises located in this 163,000-square-meter space.
This agreement will allow the Port Authority to work with a team of experts, who have experience in the real estate industry, and who will collaborate to create and implement a strategy to improve the offer to retail stores, optimize revenues at the bus terminal and generally provide a better service to users.
Some of the specific improvements proposed by the Port Authority and that C&W will be responsible for implementing is to increase the coverage of cellular networks and Wi-Fi, renovate bathrooms and improve access to escalators and elevators.
