Mexico. During the last edition of the AHR Expo 2015 fair, held in Chicago between January 26 and 28, the LonMark International association gave the company ISDE the recognition as the winner of the Best Project of the Year in Large Facilities for the installation carried out in the Ferroparque office building located in Queretaro, Mexico.
The project carried out by ISDE in Ferroparque included the automation and integration using LonWorks technology of security, lighting, access control and air conditioning systems, with the aim of improving energy consumption, as well as guaranteeing the safety and comfort of workers.
According to information published by the company, the main objective of the project was to achieve the integration of the different elements within the building in order to provide a comprehensive network of automation and unique control, which allows the customization of the conditions of the space of each employee.
ISDE chose to work with the LonWorks network platform primarily because of its ability to interconnect and install a large number of drivers, open integration with a large amount of hardware and firmware available on the market, ability to report in real time on alarms, availability of error detection tools, flexibility in choice for different devices and peripherals and, finally, scalability according to the needs of each project.
Since the completion of the project in May 2014, the Ferroparque building has obtained savings of 20% in energy consumption and up to 25% in maintenance costs.
