The public hospitals of Murcia, Spain, will replace all their luminaires with LED devices to improve their level of energy efficiency, the above is part of a global initiative under the name "Energy Efficiency Plan of the Murcian Health Service that hopes to drastically improve the efficiency indexes of health entities with measures to be implemented between 2015 and 2018.
The plan includes the total replacement of conventional lighting by LED devices with an investment of 1.9 million euros to achieve this. With this investment, it is expected to achieve annual energy savings of 28 million kilowatts, equivalent to 3.5 million euros.
The objective of this initiative is to reduce costs, comply with European and national regulations regarding energy efficiency, promote the use of renewable energies, and contribute to the dissemination of a responsible culture with care for the environment.
