Chile. The book "Organizational Happiness: How to Build Happiness at Work" published by Ignacio Fernández, director of the Department of Organizational Psychology at the Adolfo Ibáñez University (UAI) of Chile, states that the happiness of workers increases the productivity of a company between 31% and 40%, improves profitability, quality of service and work excellence, in addition to improving the internal climate of organizations.
In addition, the publication assures that companies are in a period of transition in which they are moving from an authoritarian capitalism to a more inclusive and reliable approach with workers.
"We must promote organizational pride and encourage people to apply their strengths in their work and develop. This is a gradual work, but it will ensure the company sustainability over time," said the expert in statements to local media Diario Financiero.
"On the part of the workers, a psycho-social well-being is generated, that is, they break the logic that work is a scourge and a valley of tears, and they begin to see it as a place of personal deployment, social contribution and reliable relationships," he added.
It is important to note that Fernández was an advisor to BancoEstado Microempresas and Transbank when both companies began to integrate the issue of happiness into their organizational strategy.
