Mexico. The real estate sector in Mexico will receive an investment of 277,000 million Mexican pesos (US $ 17,442 million), distributed in 279 projects, by the government of this country in the coming years, revealed the Association of Real Estate Developers (ADI).
The investment will go to 117 housing developments, 61 shopping centers as well as office buildings and hotels, the Association explained. For his part, the current president of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, highlighted the importance of the real estate sector for the growth of the economy and the generation of employment.
"The global indicator of economic activity advanced by 2.4% in real terms in April 2015 compared to the same month last year, but what I want to highlight is that the construction sector growth was more than double with a growth of 5.5% in this same period," said the president at an official event held recently.
