Chile. According to information revealed by the real estate consultancy JLL in its "Global Ranking 300", Santiago de Chile is the third city in South America in amount of foreign investment in offices, with transactions that in total amount to US $ 800 million during the last three years.
The Global 300 Ranking placed Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil, in the first two places for South America in this same category. To make the list, JLL analyzed the commercial real estate transactions of all cities in the world classified them using four measurement elements: market size, commercial attraction, investment in real estate and foreign investment in real estate.
The measurement showed that Santiago consolidated sales of US $ 809 million in this period, ranking behind Sao Paulo with US $ 4,150 million and Rio de Janeiro with US $ 2,432 million. Other cities such as Buenos Aires, Argentina, generated transactions for US$ 56 million; Bogota, Colombia, $25 million, and Lima, Peru, another $14 million.
