After the success of the first call, the winners of the II Edition of the Young Talents Awards Aula FM – Claro Sol are already known, according to the criteria of a jury, composed of David Martínez (global director FM House, Academic Director of the Master in Real Estate and FM), Sergio Vega (professor and RESEARCHER UPM, director of the Master in Real Estate and FM) and Alfonso Gil (director of Training of Claro Sol), which highlighted a considerable improvement in the level compared to the previous edition.
Recently, the awards were presented at the School of Architecture of the UPM, during an event in which the best postgraduate projects on Facility Management coordinated from the UPM through the Claro Sol University-Business Classroom of Facility Management were recognized. The objective of this Classroom is to contribute to the training and professional development of the discipline of Facility Management in the field of Spanish business.
The winners are Kurt Hegerich, president and founder of Claro Sol Facility Services, was in charge of delivering the distinctions to the winners, "highlighting the importance of these initiatives to grow the figure of the Facility Manager in Spain". Jaime Faraco won the Innovation Award for his work "Property plan for the improvement of the energy efficiency of an office building". In the development of its proposal, after an analysis of the office building that it uses as a reference of the practical case, it carries out an exhaustive study of all the intervention alternatives in it that improve its energy efficiency, deepening not only in the energy issues and improvement of efficiency, but also in the associated economic aspects.
Regarding the Award for contribution in professional activity, Julia Martínez won the award for her work "Harmony, Outsourcing of the self-service installation service. Definition of the service and development of the project management plan". It is a project developed in a systematic and professional way, in which it incorporates the contents taught in the Master in a way adapted to the needs of the client, including all the necessary aspects for its direct practical application in their daily professional activity.
Finally, Israel Sánchez stood out in the category of Poster Award for contribution to fm with Strategic Sustainability Indicators of an organization. In his winning proposal he delved into how to measure the degree of sustainability in an organization that is dedicated to the management of shopping centers, identifying some of the most significant KPIs.
