International. IFMA Spain, Spanish Society of Facility Management, held the 7th Women FM Forum, called 'How Professional Coaching helps us in project management and our day to day'.
As explained by IFMA, the activity of Facility Management covers various factors that can affect an employee in the workplace. Through this forum, IFMA Spain goes beyond environmental, biological and ergonomic aspects and emphasizes functional aspects such as the professional and personal development of the worker. To do this, experts in the field have addressed behavioral models that can help improve both professional and personal life.
"In our management as facility managers, we aim to improve the comfort and practicality of workspaces. For this same reason, we consider it essential to promote personal development through this type of activity", says Lorena García-Espada, member of the Board of Directors of IFMA Spain.
José de la Peña, coach and member of Team9, has participated in the forum to address the issue of professional coaching and organizational importance in companies. He has defined coaching as a tool to unleash a person's potential and maximize their performance.
In addition, De la Peña has exemplified coaching as a key to success and has defined its keys, ensuring that "it helps people become something more than they think they can be."
"The keys to the success of coaching are motivation, awareness, responsibility, self-belief and action," he concluded.
The day ended with practical exercises aimed at improving the self-knowledge of the attendees to detect the areas of improvement in which they must work to grow professionally.
