International. On October 18 took place at Ifema, Feria de Madrid, a workshop on Regulation and Control of the Air Conditioning sector, organized by the main associations of the sector.
Among the participating associations were, A3e (Association of Energy Efficiency Companies), AEDICI (Spanish Association of Engineering and Consulting Engineers), AFEC (Association of Manufacturers of Air Conditioning Equipment), ASHRAE Spain Chapter (American Society of Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating), ATECYR (Spanish Technical Association of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration) and IFMA Spain (International Association of Facility Management).
Asimsimo, the event was attended by 36 experts, representing engineering, manufacturers, properties, energy service companies, maintenance, etc., in addition to the representatives of the organizing associations. The participants discussed the issues around six working groups and a table of general coordinators formed by the representatives of the organizing associations of the event. Some of the topics covered by the workshop were the interaction of R&C systems with buildings, the scope of regulation and control in air conditioning projects, the installation and commissioning of R&C systems, the use and maintenance of R&C systems and, finally, the legislative and social aspects related to the use of control.
The presentation and opening of the event were in charge of Antonio Carrión, president of the Workshop, who welcomed the attendees and highlighted the opportunity that this type of event provides to participants to exchange opinions with experts from different areas related to Regulation and Control. Likewise, at the end of the event, the conclusions derived from the analysis of the answers given by each of the tables were presented. The working group formed by the representatives of the organizing associations will continue to work to, from the initial document, elaborate a more complete document.
