International. European BIM Summit and BBConstrumat join forces to promote in May a more efficient construction sector with the use of BIM.
The third edition of the European BIM Summit (EBS) will be held on 25 and 26 May 2017 within the framework of Barcelona Building Construmat, the International Construction Exhibition of Fira de Barcelona, and is confirmed as well as the reference event on Building Information Modelling (BIM) in Europe.
The College of Quantity Surveyors of Barcelona (CAATEEB), BIM Academy and buildingSMART Spanish Chapter, organizers of the EBS, have signed on November 7 a collaboration agreement with the organization of Barcelona Building Construmat, a reference construction fair event organized by Fira de Barcelona, with the aim of joining forces to advance construction on the path of technological innovation.
This third edition of the European BIM Summit will have France as a guest country. During the contest, the latest advances of this new work method based on the management of the information generated during the life cycle of a construction and that has been essential to obtain a construction process aimed at improving quality, efficiency and effectiveness in any project, building work and civil works will be presented.
The European BIM Summit will consist of presentations and workshops where tools, services and products suitable for those working in this field will be analyzed. The summit is aimed at technicians and managers of public administrations, developers, architectural firms, engineering firms, service consultants, material suppliers, manufacturers, project & construction managers, construction execution managers and facility managers and builders, among others, who are the decision-makers who mark and will mark the course of the construction sector.
The European BIM Summit will give great added value to the twentieth edition of Barcelona Building Construmat that will take place from May 23 to 26 next year in Hall 2 of the Gran Via venue of Fira de Barcelona, integrating in its offer all the sectors and subsectors that make up the construction sector.
