International. The construction and engineering group Comsa has a new subsidiary. This is Comsa Security Service SLU, a company recently created and dedicated to the installation of security-related devices, according to the corporate purpose published in the Commercial Registry at the time of incorporation.
The new subsidiary depends on Comsa Service Facility Management SA, a company of the group chaired by Jorge Miarnau. It groups the integral maintenance services of buildings. Comsa already offered the security service, but for legal reasons has decided to separate it into a new company, according to company sources.
A 2014 law created the National Registry of Private Security, transferred to the autonomous communities and which, in Catalonia, controls the Ministry of the Interior. Companies that offer services within this field must be registered in it, so Comsa has preferred to group it into a single company, which will be the one that will be registered in the registry.
The company owned by the Miarnau (70%) and Sumarroca (30%) families offers the security service related to video surveillance; in no case does it hire security guards, they clarified from the company.
