Latin America. The date of the next international awards for sustainable architecture of the LafargeHolcim Foundation is approaching.
Until this March, young professionals and students can present their architecture, urban planning or engineering projects for free through their website.
The final stretch of the most important sustainable construction award in the world is coming to an end, awards created by the LafargeHolcim Foundation that is born from the giant specialized in construction materials Lafarge. The foundation was created to achieve a common goal by architects, engineers and citizens concerned with better and more sustainable architecture.
The LafargeHolcim Foundation fosters sustainable responses to technological, environmental, socio-economic and cultural problems affecting construction. With its international awards it is expected to promote best practices, pioneering and fresh solutions by the next generation of architects, engineers, designers, planners and contractors to adopt sustainable parameters for all their construction projects.
Registration for the 5th edition of the International LafargeHolcim Awards will be open until March 21, 2017. A jury made up of 10 professionals from all over the world will be responsible for the classification and qualification of the submitted projects on which up to 2 Million US Dollars in prizes will be distributed.
Participation is free and applications can be submitted, until the date indicated, through a simple web form.
