Colombia. Elsa Noguera, Minister of Housing, reaffirmed her portfolio's commitment to contributing to making Colombia's cities more prosperous and inclusive.
A few days ago, during the seminar "Crossed Views on Sustainable Cities", Noguera said that the idea is to generate cities that allow the development of their inhabitants.
He said that we must take advantage of the new Territorial Planning Plans so that they are designed in favor of sustainability and "we must stop competing between cities to work as a single region."
He said that the Ministry has been supporting a new urban agenda, putting into practice the commitments that were acquired in inhabiting III to build cities with adequate planning, with a vision of the future and resilient to climate change.
Noguera reiterated that for this reason the Ministry of Housing issued the guide to saving water and energy for new buildings that seeks that these constructions make responsible use of resources and that by 2025 a saving of 25% can be achieved.
The Government currently has investments of $860,139 million (US$295.3 million) for the execution of 100 projects for wastewater treatment in 23 departments of the country.
